National Genealogy Day

The Center for Study of Chickasaw History and Culture staff will host activities for this special event inside the Holisso building:

  • Patrons will be invited to take part in an interview process emphasizing the importance of storytelling and passing information on to future generations. Genealogy staff will offer ways to preserve this information.
  • Elders will tell stories regarding Chickasaw history, adding their own personal experiences.
  • Visitors can play a trivia game of history/genealogy questions to gain knowledge of Chickasaw history. Small prizes will include CCC information.
