When Jamaican sprinter Derice Bannock fails to qualify for the Olympics, he devises a plan to compete in the Games—as a bobsledder. Derice enlists the help of disgraced former champion Irving Blitzer, who is desperate to redeem himself, to train and coach the team. After some starting issues, the first Jamaican bobsledding team is formed and sets out to become worthy of Olympic selection.
